Bucky sighs, but he doesn't have the energy to even feign anger.

"I thought you'd say something like that," he murmurs, squeezing at Steve's hand, bringing it close to him. It's all too much for him. Thank god for Wakandan medicine, because it's the only reason he's as calm as he is. Steve will be perfectly fine; Wakanda has done more than enough for Bucky to mean he trusts the people of this country completely.

He brings Steve's hand up to his cheek, only half aware of the motion. "It shouldn't have happened to anyone. Nobody deserves what happened."

Bucky's doing his best to hide it, but he's on the verge of coming completely undone.
