After a couple of months to work on getting his head on straight - well, straighter, anyway - Jim doesn't instantly leap at the offer of more, his hunger sated for the moment. None of what's left will go to waste if he doesn't help eat it, either, and if he changes his mind later it's not like Steve seems likely to deny him. The guy's a good host.
