The blast leaves Steve's ears ringing--it's a damn good thing he heals as fast as he does or he'd be deaf and blind by now for how many blasts he's been entirely too close to over the years. He's slow to turn, too slow to react to the startled pained cries Blaze is giving. He's pinned to the wall of the cave in short order by two of the Fallen.
"Blaze! Steve!!"
The red dots are flashing in all directions in front of them. The servitor hums louder as it charges up the kinetic cannon. Steve sees a flash of purple light and jerks with all his might. It doesn't free him completely, but it does put the Fallen to his left directly in the line of fire instead of him. Steveand the remaining Fallen go flying back and crunch into the wall opposite, both crashing to the ground in a smoldering heap.
