Every time one of the creatures brushes up against Steve he reaches down to give it a pat or a pet. He can't keep the fond smile off of his face at seeing his small friends again. That doesn't mean he's not paying attention to Theo, however. especially considering his friend seems to be pushing Steve for an answer. He's not sure why the subject has come to this, but it's clearly important to the other.
