Steve pockets his phone and picks up his carefully wrapped gift and heads out of the apartment. It takes him a while to get there, on account of the fragility of his gift, but Steve does indeed make it to Ixis's tower without trouble.
It's getting in that is troubling him.
"Hello? Uhm, is anyone there? I'm here to see Verity..." He's collecting a fine dusting of snow on his sweatshirt and hooded head.
